California Fires Force Over 250 000 Home Owners to Evacuate

In less than a weeks time the wildfires across southern California region have caused officials to call for the evacuation of over 250 000 residents. There are now 16 fire hot spots across the vast state.

Nearly 600 homes and 100 commercial buildings have been destroyed in southern California, most in San Diego County. The escalated state of the fires have forced Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and President Bush to declare a state of emergency in order to open up federal funding and additional troops to the hard hit region. Currently there are over 1500 National Guard troops battling the fires and assisting in the evacuation which is the largest in San Diego county history.

On behalf of all of us at Text4Homes.com we send our deepest sympathies to all the good folks that have be affected by these unfortunate and devastating events.
